What’s on ye olde easel: Waxwing painting
Just finished this one. The title of this painting is The Double Arc of Natural Selections
Its compositional form is a Double Rabatment of the Shorter Side of the Rectangle, set dynamically as a 5:4 ratio within the panel’s 11″x14″ proportion. What is a Rabatment? It’s music to the eyes. I’ll explain it in a post soon. Or, you could learn this and other forms by taking my Fall class at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Art 312:Form and Composition.
